Product Review: “Assassin’s Creed: Unity” Edge Shave Gel

Schick, Target and “Assassin’s Creed” teamed up a year ago for the release of “Black Flag,” and this year, they’ve added Edge Shave Gel to the party.

Here is the breakdown:

If you’ve never shaved with Edge or Schick, now is the perfect time to try them out.

Used in concert, Edge Shave Gel and Hydro Five from Schick are the “Super Splash Brothers” of shaving, just like Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are for the Golden State Warriors.

Because of the cheap price ($2.95) and equally cheap reputation garnered by previous shave gels, it would be easy for the Edge products to not register on your man radar or be seen as a throwaway product, but the Edge Shave Gel is one smooth operator.

My favorite was the Extra Moisturizing with Vitamin E. It had a sort of magic whisker lifting agent that made it easy to shave over normally sensitive area, like the “Mustache Zone.”

What really impressed me was the clean shave feeling that I could still feel into the late afternoon after an early morning shave. It’s the cheesiest thing I’ve ever typed, but I could even detect a glow coming of my skin; it looked great, which is something I could only attribute to the extra moisture.

The Schick Hydro 5 that accompanied the Edge Shave Gel was no slouch either. If you still haven’t adopted a five-blade razor into your shaving arsenal, you should.

More blades equals a more effective shave, while the water-activated Hydrating Gel Reservoir hydrates throughout the experience. The skin guards provide more points of contact on the skin, smoothing the skin and making it difficult to knick yourself.
