Burger King’s “Whopper” still packs a punch!

Most of us grew up eating all different kinds of fast food but only a few of those treats are still for sale on a current menu. The Burger King Whopper is one of those still standing in a sea of competition and I must say this burger still “packs a punch”! There are plenty of burgers that are larger and fancier but there is something about the Whopper that holds true. Maybe it’s the simplicity of the toppings?

I remember when the 1/4 pound of flame-fresh beef was considered one of the biggest out there but you don’t have to be the biggest to be one of the best fast food burgers. Granted in keeping our wastelines somewhat under control we can’t eat the Whopper everyday but when it’s time for those guilty pleasures the King still has a winner in the Whopper. Burger King will probably be going through some changes here soon but let’s hope the Whopper keeps it’s prominent place on their menu!

Whopper facts:
A ¼ pound* of flame-fresh beef, ripe tomatoes, crisp lettuce, creamy mayo, ketchup, crunchy pickles and onions on a toasted sesame seed bun. It’s America’s Favorite Burger**. The Original. The WHOPPER®.

Honey Deuce is the new cocktail for the US Open

Labor Day weekend is here, and summer is winding down, but that doesn’t mean we still can’t enjoy a refreshing cocktail in the late summer sun.

Grey Goose Vodka, one of the sponsors of US Open Championships, has created the Honey Deuce cocktail for tournament spectators. The drink will be served at satellite bars around the tournament grounds in a collector’s souvenir cup. Here’s the recipe:

1¼ part Grey Goose Original Vodka
2 parts fresh lemonade
¼ part premium raspberry-flavored liqueur
Frozen honeydew melon balls

Fill a highball or double old-fashioned glass with crushed ice. Add Grey Goose Vodka and fill the rest of the cup with lemonade to a half inch below the rim. Drizzle premium raspberry-flavored liqueur over the top. Garnish with frozen honeydew melon.

We have to admit it sounds delicious, and we’d love to be at the Open enjoying one of these drinks. We’ll have to settle for making some for ourselves at our Labor Day picnic.

Dania Ramirez stops by the AXE Lounge

Dania Ramriez at the AXE Lounge

A friend of mine has a theory which states that one out of every one hundred Dominican women will somehow have picture perfect genetics. Dania Ramirez is firmly within that 99th percentile, and she’s all over the place since landing a role opposite Turtle in Entourage (she had a pretty nice resume before Entourage, too).

Dania dropped by the AXE Lounge this Saturday night and talked a bit about her character’s development over the course of the current Entourage season. She also talked about her role in the upcoming ‘Premium Rush’ with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and offered some quick tips for guys looking to catch a woman’s eye. You can catch the video after the break.

Ronaldo’s smoking girlfriend, model Irina Shayk, poses for GQ

To say that Christiano Ronaldo leads a charmed life would be a gross understatement. He’s at the top of the most popular sport in the world, making millions upon millions of dollars both as a player and a global icon, and at the end of the day, he comes home to this.

Miss Shayk was kind enough to step in front of the camera over at GQ, and damn if she didn’t deliver. If you thought nothing could top her latest bikini spread, close your door, turn down the lights, and go take a look at the slideshow on the GQ website.

Gillette announces the ProGlide Ultimate Summer Job Bullz-Eye.com contest winner!

Gillette sent Jason and Adam around the country this summer to promote the new Gillette Fusion ProGlide razor and hear what the country has to say about getting the perfect shave. Bullz-Eye partnered up with them to offer an iPod Touch & a Gillette Fusion ProGlide VIP kit to the contestant with the most compelling idea of the perfect shave.

There were a lot of excellent entries including this one from Frank Kramerman:

The best shave ever…hmmm…on the banks of a crystal clear warm water spring…Betty White approaches carrying a brand new Fusion Pro-Glide razor anjd a can of shaving cream on a pillow and gently sits down beside me as I foam up and magically stroke the whiskers away while gazing at my and her reflection in the water.

We also appreciated Jeremy MacFarline’s contribution:

The best shave ever would involve sitting in an old-timey barber’s chair, slightly reclined, and it would be delivered by Salma Hayek in something low-cut and with lots of leaning over. There is lots of “accidental” boob-shoulder contact and the Gillette Fusion ProGlide gripped gently between her deft fingers leaves my sideburns even, the edge of my goatee straight and clean, and my cheeks smooth as a baby’s bottom and glistening like a glazed donut.

In the end, though, the winner was someone with a more traditional idea of the perfect shave. To hear his entry, head over to the official Gillette Ultimate Summer Job blog, where Jason and Adam have put together a congratulations video. Thanks to everyone that participated – you guys put together some great entries.
