The Angry Bird takeover

Few games are among the most downloaded apps of all time such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google Chrome.

Only Candy Crush, Fruit Ninja and and Angry Birds have made the grade. The latter has been downloaded over two billion times, including both regular and special editions. As of July 2015, the various Angry Birds games have been been downloaded over three billion times, collectively making it the most downloaded freemium game series of all time.

The game, created by Finnish Rovio Entertainment, debuted in 2010 and has been going strong ever since. The app was so successful that it has inspired a whole string of merchandise including t-shirts, plush toys, Lego, UNO, its own film and even a bingo game.

Angry Bingo, available online at Bingosites.uk, rewards new players with a no deposit bonus of £5 soon after registering and a further deposit match bonus of up to 500%.

The film has also received hit reviews. The computer-animated characters, vibrancy and bright colours is reminiscent of the film “Rio” and is perfect for children and adults.

Running an hour and a half long, the movie is set on an island inhabited wholly by flightless but extremely happy birds. However, there is one bird who just doesn’t seem to fit despite the attempt of other characters. Red, a recluse prone to temperamental outbursts, is sentenced to anger management classes despite his protests. It is at the classes where we meet a speedy yellow triangular shaped bird name Chuck and his sidekick Bomb. Bomb has the appearance of a stereotypical cartoon bomb, and much like Red, is very eruptive.

Red avoids getting to know his classmates and sees them merely as acquaintances, but he’s left with no other choice than to befriend his fellow outsiders when an army of small green pigs slowly begin to overpopulate the island. While at first they seem to adjust to the societal life of the island, Red isn’t fooled and grows suspicious of their motives, recruiting Chuck and Bomb to help him uncover their real intentions.

Featuring the voices of Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride and Maya Rudolph, as well as a soundtrack featuring Demi Lovato, the “Angry Birds Movie” has been a huge success and grossed $344.4 million at the box office.
