Chrysler and Fiat CEO Sergio MarchionneDay 1 at the NAIAS was a big one. We had the 2011 Chrysler 300 announcement and got to take a look at the Call of Duty: Black Ops Jeep Wrangler up close and personal. The Fiat group also showed off its luxury sports offering from Ferrari and Maserati, which we’ve detailed in another post. Chrysler and Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne addressed the media and took questions from the press corp as you can see pictured at right.

We’ve posted more pictures to the gallery above, including shots of the Call of Duty: Black Ops Jeep Wrangler and a new compact from Fiat. Keep checking back this week for more pics from the 2011 NAIAS.

We’ll be updating with news and pictures of all the high profile reveals.

Ram Truck sponsors Battle of the Bands

Ram Truck has long been a supporter of the country music scene, from large to small musicians. You can see the brand’s community involvement in its partnership with the Zac Brown Band and its very own country channel on Yahoo, Ram Country. With its love for country music, Ram Trucks is holding the first ever Ram Battle of the Bands. Ram is seeking out the next upcoming country band to help jump start their journey to stardom. Country bands are encouraged to submit their band video on the Ram Truck Facebook page for a chance to perform live.

Videos will be watched by country music fans and the top 10 videos with the most votes will move on to our Ram Truck panel of judges. The judges will pick the top two videos; those bands will perform live at the 2011 Rodeo Austin, where more than 25,000 fans will cheer them on. First place winner will take home a $5,000, with second place taking home a cool $2,500.

Voting officially began on Jan. 3, 2011 and just for voting for your favorite band you are entered for a chance to win a country music prize pack, including an iPod and an iTunes gift card to add music to your library, along with some cool Ram Truck gear.

Chrysler comeback is real!

It’s no secret that Chrysler has been struggling over the course of the last decade. The company has probably taken more than its fair share of the media beating, though, especially considering the positive moves it’s been making in the past couple years.

As a staff member has it at Dashboard News, Chrysler is poised for a comeback. Here’s an excerpt from his thoughts on Chrysler’s development:

Chrysler sales in 2010 are up almost 20 percent from 2009 and with eleven all-new or seriously refreshed Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram Truck and Fiat vehicles to be launched during the fourth quarter of 2010 and first quarter of 2011, the march is on for a larger slice of the market. Also in the mix is the venerable Fiat 500, which will add some flair to the Chrysler/Fiat stable and don’t be surprised if that little 500 becomes a cult hit. Many thought the days were numbered for Chrysler and it wasn’t easy to change perceptions but in the auto world, many are taking notice of what Chrysler and all of her brands are building and selling.

The Dodge brand has seen sales steadily climb and has new product that could seriously put them on a roll with the gorgeous 2011 Dodge Durango, the stylish and tough-looking 2011 Dodge Charger, the sharp crossover 2011 Dodge Journey, the new 2011 Dodge Avenger, the upgraded 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan, and the badass Dodge Challenger SRT8 392. We had a chance to drive some of these cars and were very impressed. The 2011 Dodge Charger is the flagship of the Dodge brand and appears to be ready to rock and roll in the sales department, with a re-design that looks awesome.

Espresso Girls and Fiat

We had the chance to attend a party at the new Fiat dealership in LA to check out the new Fiat 500 during the LA Auto Show. Fiat is finally coming back to the United States and the company unveiled the hot new 500 at the party.

With the Italians involved we weren’t surprised at the incredible food served at the event, and of course they had beautiful women serving espresso as well. We were also struck by the elegant and modern design of the dealership that helped to highlight the impressive new design of the Fiat 500 that was tailored for the American market. The company also had a vintage 500 on hand at the auto show which of course was promoted by a beautiful booth babe. The Italians are reintroducing sex appeal to the auto business, and we couldn’t be happier!

We hit the LA Auto Show recently with our friends from Chrysler, and we’re happy to share some of our favorite sites from the event. The cars were amazing, but some of the eye candy next to the cars was even more impressive.

Chrysler deserves kudos for bring back beautiful models to help them show off their cars, and you can see that as our slideshow above kicks off with four photos of a stunning and elegant blonde showing off the new Ram trucks. Not to be outdone, Chevy made sure to have a fetching brunette on hand for the new Camaro convertible!

Fiat made a big splash at the LA Auto Show with the unveiling of the new Fiat 500 for the US market, and they had a red vintage Fiat 500 on hand to celebrate the event. We made sure to capture it in pictures, along with the tall blonde they selected to showcase the brand.

Check out the rest of the gallery for a tall, beautiful brunette in a green dress along with the shiny red pumps that looked like ruby slippers on the model covering the Range Rover vehicles.
