‘Across the Board’ with Joy Bryant and Erika Christensen

We’ve been fans of the beautiful Joy Bryant since she appeared in “Antwone Fisher” and we’ve enjoyed watching her have a successful career in Hollywood. Now she’s taking on a new project with “Across the Board,” a new web video series produced by Reserve Channel, an original YouTube channel. It’s an action talk show hosted by Joy where she dives deep into conversation with celebrity guests while they board around. In the episode featured below, Joy invites her “Parenthood” co-star, Erika Christensen, for a day of paddle boarding and girl talk. The duo discuss Christensen’s beginnings as a child actor, her role as a teenage drug addict in “Traffic,” being a curvy woman in a pencil-thin business, and her faith as a Scientologist.

We were sold on this as soon as we saw the two of them in bikinis, but the interview is excellent as well. We think Joy is onto something here. Check it out and look for new episodes as well.

R.I.P. Larry Hagman

Who shot J.R.? Is was one of the great mysteries in TV history, as ultimate badass and villain J.R. Ewing was shot at the end of season 2 on “Dallas.” Larry Hagman created a very memorable character in J.R., but it sounds like he was a pretty interesting guy himself.

The popularity of “Dallas” made Hagman one of the best-paid actors in television and earned him a fortune that even a Ewing would have coveted. He lost some of it, however, in bad oil investments before turning to real estate.

“I have an apartment in New York, a ranch in Santa Fe, a castle in Ojai outside of L.A., a beach house in Malibu and thinking of buying a place in Santa Monica,” Hagman said in a Chicago Tribune interview.

An updated “Dallas” series began in June 2012 on the TNT network with Hagman reprising his J.R. role with original cast members Gray, who played J.R.’s wife, and Patrick Duffy, who was his brother Bobby. The show was to focus on the sons of J.R. and Bobby.

Hagman had a wide eccentric streak. When he first met actress Lauren Bacall, he licked her arm because he had been told she did not like to be touched and he was known for leading parades on the Malibu beach and showing up at a grocery store in a gorilla suit. Above his Malibu home flew a flag with the credo “Vita Celebratio Est (Life Is a Celebration)” and he lived hard for many years.

In 1967, rock musician David Crosby turned him on to LSD, which Hagman said took away his fear of death, and Jack Nicholson introduced him to marijuana because Nicholson thought he was drinking too much.

Read the entire obituary. It sounds like he was one of a kind and he’ll be missed.

Picture of the Day: Cora Skinner in pink lingerie

The amazing Cora Skinner was quite a find for us. We photographed her in Los Angeles several years ago just as she was getting more exposure. You can see from her IMDb page that has numerous TV credits and she also gets lots of exposure as a fashion model.

This is the first photo in an incredible Featured Model shoot for Bullz-Eye featuring pink thong lingerie.

Nicole Scherzinger celebrates her birthday in Vegas at Tao

The pool scene in Vegas is always a great spot for beautiful women, particularly celebrities.

Singer and reality TV hottie Nicole Scherzinger continued her birthday celebration on Saturday at LAVO and TAO Beach in Las Vegas, spicing up the weekend pool scene. The current “X Factor UK” judge hung out with friends overlooking the entire pool scene as they took over TAO Beach’s Grand Cabana. “Thank you for coming out to celebrate my birthday with me,” Nicole stated. “This is my dedication to you.” Throughout the day, Nicole was spotted playing with dangling mustache glasses, taking photos with fans and later jumping on the mic once again to surprise the crowd with a performance of “Don’t Cha” and a medley of her other hits. All eyes were on Nicole as she let loose and grooved to the sounds of DJ Lema, who dropped the world premier of Nicole’s newest record “One More Shot.”
