The Corvette Stingray is my favorite new car from the past year, and now Corvette is pushing the envelope even further with the all-new ZO6 which debuted in Detroit. The impressive performance of the Stingray is pushed even further with the ZO6, and you can see some minor design changes that were necessary to achieve that performance, such as revised air vents for more cooling.

I have to admit I like the new Corvette a lot more than I like the Viper, though it’s still an eye-catching sports car, particularly in this color. I’m still puzzled by Chrysler’s SRT branding strategy, and even more puzzled by the decision to have all the SRT vehicles separate from the massive Chrysler display which included Dodge, Fiat and all the Chrysler brands together. The SRT is tucked away along one of the back walls near the luxury brands. Look for it and this colorful beauty.

I was on hand last year when Cadiallc introduced the beautiful Elmiraj concept at Pebble Beach. Now you can see it up close at the auto show. This elegant vehicle offers a glimpse as to where Cadiallc is headed, and hopefully we’ll soon see a production model that looks like the Elmiraj.
