Purchasing a Bed: Three Effective Tips

bed photo 477

A bed is an essential item that provides the comfort that will allow you to achieve sound sleep and therefore become refreshed and revitalised for each new day. A lumpy, sagging or otherwise uncomfortable mattress can lead to lethargy, stiffness or aches and pains. Investing on the right beds is a lifesaver for individuals who struggle with getting sound sleep.

1. Take Measurements

You may be dreaming of a super-king, or even a standard double if you currently have a smaller size, but be sure to measure up your bedroom, taking into account the location of windows and doors. Consider the walking space around it and other furniture. Devise a room plan, keeping it accessible and uncluttered by following several guidelines in the Internet. Then measure doorways and halls through which the new furniture will have to be taken. These steps will ensure the size you want will not only fit in the room, but will also be able to be moved through the house.

Summertime beers from Samuel Adams

Samuel Adams Rebel IPA

There’s something about a cold beer on a nice summer day. it’s one of the simple pleasures in life, and with summer in full swing hopefully you’ve had plenty of opportunities to enjoy a cold one. There’s plenty of summer left as well, so you have more time to enjoy those cookouts and other outdoor events.

We’ve been sampling a number of beers from Samuel Adams, including the Samuel Adams Summer Ale and the IPAs like the Rebel IPA pictured above. Samuel Adams has tons of beers to choose from including quite a few IPAs. I’m still partial to the Boston Lager, as they’re flagship beer is pretty flawless. As a seasonal the Summer Ale isn’t bad but it’s not my first choice, while the IPAs are excellent. The Rebel IPA features citrus and grapefruit highlights which makes it perfect as a summer beer.

Try them out and see which one you like best.

Stanley Portable Power Inverter

PCI140-HERO

In a world filled with gadgets, access to power becomes critical. For stuff like phones it’s pretty easy as you often have a car charger to bail you out, but that usually doesn’t work for laptops and other larger gadgets.

Now with the Stanley 140 Watt Portable Power Inverter you can plug the power cord into a vehicle’s 12 Volt DC port (cigarette lighter) and enjoy the convenience of household outlets and a USB port. Now you have power for your laptop or other large gadgets like DVD players and gaming devices. If you’re on the road a lot for work or play this can be an incredibly useful tool to have at your disposal. I probably won’t use it often but I’m putting it in my trunk so I always have it as an option. Check it out.

First Drive: 2015 Hyundai Sonata

Hyundai keeps moving forward. That’s the big takeaway from my drive of the all-new 2015 Hyundai Sonata on a beautiful summer day in Michigan. Hyundai has been on a roll with its bold, fluidic structure design language, and now we’re seeing an evolution as Hyundai introduces a more sophisticated and refined version of that design with the new Sonata.

Exterior

Hyundai refers to the design evolution as its Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language. Everything starts with the new front facia of the Sonata, with cleaner lines and sharper edges. The previous model gained attention by looking trendy while the new Sonata looks more elegant. The new design makes the Sonata one of the more attractive mid-sized sedans on the market and it will likely get more attention from professionals.

Adam Pally wants you to touch his beard: An interview with the newest Philips Norelco spokesman

adam-pally-philips-norelco

He’s inhaled the sweet scent of Elisha Cuthbert and worked alongside one of the funniest women in the business with Mindy Kaling. What is Adam Pally’s secret, you ask? His sex-drenched beard. Yes, a beard dripping in sex, that has recently been trimmed and styled by the Click and Style from Philips Norelco.

The star of revered sitcom “Happy Endings” and the newest piece of man-meat on Kaling’s “The Mindy Show” is here to “shave” a secret with you.

That secret? The Philips Norelco Click & Style is a complete all-in-one system equipped with three attachments that are easy to click on and off for shaving, styling and grooming.

We spoke to Pally about his, ahem, “partnership” with Philips Norelco, days spent poolside imbibing on Mad Dog 20/20 and why Elisha Cuthbert is to blame for the untimely death of “Happy Endings.”

What’s up buddy? What are you doing?

“I am talking to you right now. And grooming my beard.”

Well, it doesn’t look like it needs much grooming if you know what I mean. It’s perfect.

“Oh, well, thanks to the Norelco Click & Style, dawg.”

Is it weird to have another man tell you how great your beard and/or hair is?

“No, no. I mean, I know that’s one of my strengths.”

Well then, let me tell you how great your beard and/or hair is.

“Oh, thanks man. But what does make it weird is your extremely slow and creepy delivery.”

I just wanted to make sure you were picking up what I was puttin’ down, if you smell me?

“No, no I don’t.”

So, how did you hook up with Philips Norelco?

“I had been using the Click & Style, because I am such a hairy beast with so much Israeli blood, on “Happy Endings” and “The Mindy Project” and was familiar with it. They said they were making some funny videos and it sounded like fun.”
