An engagement happens when two people are so in love, they want to make a formal commitment to one another. You’re a guy, so thinking about proposing to a girl immediately triggers visions of rings. Sir Alex Ferguson bids farewell

Sir Alex Ferguson will end this Premier League season having managed Manchester United for the 1,500th time.

The retiring Old Trafford boss who has won 38 trophies now during his 26 year reign will be replaced by Everton manager David Moyes. Check out http://www.freebets.com to keep up to date with the odds on Manchester United to win the Premier League next season or for who will be the next Everton manager.

Last week Manchester United played Swansea which was Ferguson’s final home game in charge of the Red Devils. Ferguson received a huge ovation before thousands of people lined the streets for the Premier League champion’s parade on Monday.

“Sunday was amazing and the parade on Monday, it was incredible, even better than 1999.” Ferguson said.

“I thought the scenes after the treble in 1999 couldn’t be beaten but I think Monday probably did.”

“I went home that night and got 10 hours sleep, the first time in my life. It was marvellous, really good.”

Ferguson will stay on at Old Trafford as a director and an ambassador and has asked United fans to support Moyes when he takes over as manager this summer.

The 71-year-old prepared for his last game at the helm by holding his final pre-match press conference on Friday morning at United’s training ground. The media presented Ferguson with a cake before the news conference to honour the 26 years he has spent in charge of Manchester United.
Ferguson admits his final act will be to look to the future. “I’ll make some changes to the team and play some of the younger ones on Sunday,” he said. “Anders Lindegaard will be in goal and I want to play Phil Jones and Jonny Evans at centre half as they could be the future. ”Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic can sit on the bench with me.”

Grab-&-Go Bikini Baristas: Arrested for Stripping and More

If you have never heard of the Grab-&-Go Espresso bikini girls, then you are in for a double espresso treat today. These energetic young ladies are giving new depth to the phrase “Grab-&-Go.”

The Espresso establishments in question, found in Seattle, Washington feature “Bikini Baristas,” which is an often-copied strategy wherein girls in bikinis, as opposed to a more respectful outfit, serve customers their cappuccinos. Think of it as the Hooters of coffee.

It would seem that several entrepreneuring young women working at Grab-&-Go took it upon themselves to include a couple extras to perk men up in ways that coffee cannot. Instead of serving up London Fogs, they were fogging up the windows with erotic strip shows.

This is possible because the Grab and Go Espresso “huts” are “built for one” buildings that would afford those women working inside a fair degree of privacy and freedom in which to operate a side business for full frontals.

The police would conduct an extensive 2-month investigation that included extensive video surveillance—one would assume with lots of close-ups.
We arrested the participants in the act,” said Everett police spokesman Aaron Snell to the Everett Herald Net newspaper.

Yet the owner of the Grab-&-Go, Bill Wheeler, is denouncing any accusations or hard video evidence, defending his girls by saying that every customer who drives through a Grab-&-Go is buying a drink.

You would think that it would end here, with the owner caught red-handed trying to save face, but doesn’t. Grab-&-Go Espresso is actually the same establishment where several baristas were arrested for prostitution in 2009.

So either Bill Wheeler is completely unaware of what is transpiring at his establishments, or he is perhaps the biggest pimp in the Seattle area.

In any case, it would seem that “popping out for a quick coffee” is taking on a new meaning in Seattle. If your husband seems to be enjoying that nighttime Americano a little bit too much, you might want to tag along next time.

Girl Next Door: Nicolle in Las Vegas

Nicolle in black bikini

We discovered the lovely Nicolle several years ago in Las Vegas at The Palms during the Search for the Most Beautiful Latina. Here we have some great photos of her in the pool with her sexy swimsuit and also in one of the suites in the hotel. Nicolle has some sexy curves and a sultry, exotic look with her long, dark hair. Her all-natural cleavage is also sexy as hell. Enjoy the photos!

Oral history of the 2003 World Series of Poker

Eric Raskin has put together an excellent oral history of the 2003 World Series of Poker in Grantland, one of the seminal events in the poker phenomenon that has grown over the years in the US and around the world.

In 1970, Benny Binion put together a publicity stunt to promote his casino in downtown Las Vegas. He sent out invitations to Johnny Moss, Doyle Brunson, Amarillo Slim Preston, and the rest of the world’s greatest card players and called it the World Series of Poker. Seven of them played cash games at Binion’s Horseshoe for three straight days, and when it was over, Moss was named “champion” in a vote of his peers. The next year, six entrants paid $5,000 apiece for the right to play in a no-limit Texas Hold ’em “freezeout” tournament, in which everyone started with the same number of chips and they played until one man had all the money. A year later, the buy-in doubled to $10,000. In the four decades since, the basic rules of the tournament and the amount of money required to enter have remained constant.

But the number of participants has not. The World Series of Poker main event surpassed 100 players for the first time in 1982. It cracked 200 in ’91, the first year in which the winner claimed a seven-figure cash prize. In 2002, 631 players entered, and the payout was $2 million.

Then came 2003. The 34th-annual World Series of Poker transformed the event into a pop-culture phenomenon. The numbers — by 2006, 8,773 players vied for a first-place prize of $12 million — illustrate how exponential the growth was. Poker went from a game understood by few and played in smoky backrooms to a television staple. In this 10th-anniversary oral history, more than 30 people who were part of the event explain what happened and what it meant for the poker business.

Check out the entire article for a very informative and entertaining read.

You can see the final hand above where Chris Moneymaker wins the tournament. Movies like “Rounders” from 1998 also helped fuel that game’s popularity, but that 2003 tournament helped fans the flames.

There are so many ways to enjoy gambling and poker these days at casinos around the country and online at Metro Play Casino and other great sites that it’s hard to think back to the days when most of the action was in Las Vegas and in back room poker games. Fortunately most people can now drive to a poker room or hone their skills online, and now the World Series of Poker is dominated by guys inspired by Chris Moneymaker. If you’re heading to Vegas and want to test your poker skills, you have to try your hand at this tournament.
