NBA Finals not set yet

Over the past several years I’ve gained a new appreciation for NBA basketball. May love to complain that the game is worse than in years past, but I actually think it’s gotten better now that teams are allowed to play real defense and we don’t have to watch silly isolation basketball. And while it’s still somewhat galling that Lebron was able to construct an All-Star team to get him a title, the games and series in recent years have been very entertaining. Several days ago it was looking like a clear Miami Heat – Oklahoma City matchup in the Finals and fans could start checking out USA gambling site reviews to make their picks, but suddenly things have changed a bit ans that matchup isn’t set in stone.

Now, don’t get me wrong. One monster game from Paul George on his home court doesn’t mean that Indiana suddenly has a good chance to get past the Heat. This team is in desperate need of an army of sports psychologists to help them through their many issues. I won’t go into all the soap opera intrigue surrounding this team as it has been talked to death. Let’s just say that the Pacers are mentally weak, and Paul George needs to step up again and again for things to change.

That said, the roller coaster of NBA series is interesting to watch. The fact is things change from game to game. That’s the nature of this sport as teams adjust to each other. Last year, Miami made better adjustments and got a lucky shot from Ray Allen and thus were able to defeat the Spurs. We’ll see if Indiana can mentally adjust and find the courage to challenge the Heat in Miami. Nobody expects them to do it, but if Paul George can continue to take control they have a chance.

In the other series, everyone had left Oklahoma City for dead with Serge Ibaka on the bench, but he “miraculously” returned and the Thunder promptly spanked the Spurs two games in a row at home. Suddenly, this is a real series and the Spurs look vulnerable again. As usual, Game 5 will be key and the Spurs have the advantage of being at home, but the Thunder clearly have the momentum. This one will be worth watching.

It might not be the healthiest cuisine option around, but a really great burger is something that can satisfy cravings and turn a crappy day into a much more remarkable one. However, when it comes to finding a brilliant burger, there’s more to look for than just some meat on a bun. From mile-high creations filled with all sorts of goodies to simple yet elegant options that focus on quality ingredients, there are burgers all around the world that are sure to have your mouth watering and taste buds satiated in a few minutes flat. If you’re keen to travel the world trying the best burgers on offer, read on for five restaurants you should add to your bucket list.

Ferdi in Paris

This Parisian establishment is good enough for Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, who have been spotted more than once at the restaurant, and declared by Penelope Cruz to serve up the best cheeseburgers in Paris. It is also the place that some of the world’s most well-regarded fashion designers turn to when they need a good lunch — both Marc Jacobs and Christian Louboutin have been seen dining here on many occasions. Run by husband and wife-team Alicia and Jacques Fontanier, Ferdi opened in 2004 as a “strictly non chichi” venue for Parisian locals to head to for home-style comfort food, quality Spanish tapas and an extensive drinks list. The restaurant is named after the couple’s son Ferdinand and has been fitted out with eclectic, quirky decor such as their son’s old toys, humorous vintage signs and well-loved second-hand furniture. Ferdi (located near the Place de la Concord) has a warm, informal, intimate feel and is famous around the world for its cheeseburgers. The venue books out months in advance, particularly for dinner, so ensure you make a booking before you go so you can enjoy time spent at this quality restaurant. After all, the sign on the front door says it all: “Good food takes time. We have the food. Do you have the time?”

Car Review: 2014 Dodge Charger SXT Blacktop

dodge_charger_1

Even though the Dodge Charger is possibly the only true four-door muscle car, the folks at Dodge are continually striving to build Chargers for every taste imaginable in the car market. We tested the 2014 Dodge Charger SXT Blacktop and were blown away by the appearance and performance of this beast of a ride!

EXTERIOR

This is one badass car from top to bottom, and there are no excuses along the way. Our TorRed exterior paint just popped off this car, and when you add in the gloss black aluminum wheels, there is no doubt that the 2014 Dodge Charger SXT Blacktop demands attention. The Blacktop package also included gloss black grille with black honeycomb inserts, black roof, power sunroof and rear body color spoiler. What is so exclusive about the Charger is the sheer size of the car, but then again, it’s a classic muscle car.

INTERIOR

The cabin of the 2014 Dodge Charger SXT Blacktop doesn’t get the attention that the muscular commands, but this is one sweet interior space. The black sport perforated leather seats were as comfortable as one could imagine with so much room to get really comfortable. The sport steering wheel with mounted paddle shifters, Parkview rear back up camera, parks sense rear park assist system, rain sensitive windshield wipers and heated and cooled front console cupholders were all great options.

Beats by Dr. Dre audio technology available in the 2014 Dodge Charger includes a powerful 552-watt 12-channel amplifier that integrates the heart of the Beats proprietary equalizer algorithm, creating the high-definition sound required in professional recording studios. Delivering the mid- to high-range needed for studio-quality sound are three 3.5-inch speakers located in the instrument panel and two 3.5-inch speakers located in the rear doors. Two 6 x 9-inch front-door woofers deliver bass, while two 6 x 9-inch speakers and a center-mounted 8-inch speaker located in the rear-shelf area provide full-range audio. Maximizing how music genres from hip hop to Motown should sound and feel, an 8-inch Beats Audio trunk-mounted dual-voice coil subwoofer with sealed enclosure delivers tight, powerful, punchy bass. The 2014 Dodge Charger sedan’s Uconnect 8.4N system integrates award-winning Garmin navigation, voice recognition and SiriusXM Traffic with an intuitive user interface to make operating simple. With natural voice commands, the Uconnect 8.4N enables passengers to input street addresses and navigate to points of interest. And with the integrated SiriusXM Traffic, real-time traffic monitoring notifies the driver or enables the Garmin navigation to reroute due to congested throughways.
