Will Gronk rule on Sunday?

One of the dumbest things I’ve heard in sports was said several years ago. The New England Patriots were rolling to another inevitable Super Bowl appearance as Tom Brady was carving up defenses. Then Rob Gronkowski got hurt, and people naturally wondered what impact that would have on the Patriots offense. I was stunned at the time when many so-called experts said the Patriots could easily overcome that loss and continue to dominate. Of course the opposite happened and the Patriots were on their couches for the Super Bowl.

Will the World of Warcraft movie lead the way for more movies to be based on games?

With the long-awaited film Warcraft slated for release in 2016, the future is looking bright for movies inspired by video games.

Warcraft, an epic fantasy film based on the hugely popular World of Warcraft video game, will premiere in movie theaters across the US on March 11, 2016. The Legendary / Universal Pictures production is directed by Duncan Jones, based on a screenplay that he co-wrote with Charles Leavitt, who first joined the project in 2013 after Sam Raimi pulled out. British-born Jones is best known for previous big screen successes Moon and Source Code, while seasoned scriptwriter Leavitt is also no stranger to Hollywood.

Prognosis is good

With a cast that includes Vikings heart-throb Travis Fimmel and action babe Paula Patton, together with a complex plot that concentrates on the World of Warcraft’s initial encounters between the humans and the Orcs, all the signs are there that this film will achieve a similar success to 2014’s Need for Speed, another game converted into a film that – despite fairly negative reviews – went on to earn $203.3 million in box office revenue worldwide.

Players to watch in Super Bowl

There are tons of storylines in this years Super Bowl matchup between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks, and some of them actually involve players as opposed to air pressure in footballs. Plenty of attention will be on the quarterbacks of course, but there’s so much more to this game beyond Tom Brady versus Russell Wilson.

As you can see in the video above, the Richard Sherman versus Darrelle Revis debate has been out there for a while, and now their teams are matched up for the title. Sherman has been the most vocal, as he’s parlaying his obnoxious personality into endorsement gold. Sherman loves to brag and run his mouth, but he’s also an excellent player on a defense that is looking to go down in history like the No Name Defense and the Steel Curtain as defenses that could win back-to-back Super Bowls.

Deflategate deflects from great Super Bowl Matchup

We’re looking at one of the best Super Bowl matchups in years, and yet for the past two weeks everyone has been consumed by the ridiculous scandal now know as “deflategate.” The NFL discovered that footballs used by the New England Patriots were deflated in the first half of their blowout of the Indianapolis Colts, and then all hell broke lose when this was leaked to the media.

There are legitimate arguments on both sides as to the severity of this so-called “scandal” and I frankly don’t have a strong opinion either way. I don’t know what happened, and I don’t care much either. Of course Patriot haters are going crazy, while Patriot fans are stuck defending Bill Belichick, Tom Brady and the entire Patriot dynasty.

Fitness Facts: 8 Perilous Pitfalls to Avoid at the Gym

Joining a gym can be a scary experience. You never know exactly what you’re getting into until after you join. Unfortunately, many gyms try to obscure broken equipment, shady liability waivers, and other inherently dangerous things about their gym until after you’ve paid your dues. To add insult to injury, it’s often easier to walk on water than to cancel your membership. Here’s how to avoid some of the more obvious perils lurking at your average gym.

Check For Broken Equipment

Broken equipment is very common in many gyms across America. In the 1970s new machines were being invented which were supposed to make it easier for average folks to work out. However, as gyms bought into these machines, they realized there was a lot of money which had to be tied up into maintenance. Some gyms chose to forego the maintenance and instead let gym-goers figure it out on their own.
