Could you stop Landon Donovan from scoring a goal? These people tried outside a Buffalo Wild Wings

How surreal would it be to go to your local Buffalo Wild Wings for some food and have Landon Donovan, the greatest male soccer player in U.S. history, stop you at the entrance and challenge you to a game of one-on-one?

Recently, at a Buffalo Wild Wings in Los Angeles, the above scenario played itself out. Would you have the guts to jump in the net and try to stop the all-time leader in goals and assists for both the U.S. Men’s National Team and MLS? The answer may not be so easy after you watch this video:

We had the opportunity to speak to Donovan about his experience making the video, hanging out with fans and life after retirement.

Of Tough Mudders and Cincinnati Chili: An Old Spice #Smellegendary Expedition

SNIFF

When the guy on the tiny Delta plane that I was sharing a seat with told me about “Cincinnati chili,” all I could think about was the notorious “Cleveland Steamer.”

I mean, how was I to know any different?

Everything I knew about Cincinnati had been mainlined into my body via two sources: “WKRP in Cincinnati” and my favorite NFL head coach of all-time, former Bengals boss Sam Wyche. And this guy looked nothing like Johnny Fever. Or Wyche.

The man’s hands were strong – too strong. And when the flight attendant stopped in our row and examined a lanyard around his neck, he nodded at her — a slow, pronounced nod that was accompanied by the universal “shhhhh” hand signal of an index finger placed tenderly over his lips while making intense eye contact with the stewardess — it became clear he was some kind of TSA officer.

Needless to say, I crossed my legs and looked the other way. But all this guy wanted to talk about was chili.

“Yeah, so you can have a two-way Cincinnati chili, a three-way, heck, even a four-way.”

Old Spice is known for weirdness, and on the tarmac in Detroit en route to the “Queen City,” the weirdness was already cranked up to one billion percent. Old Spice actually came into existence due to a four-way of sorts.

From the minute we exited the bus and entered the Indianapolis Motor Speedway grounds to start Day Three, the crowd was raucous. Carb Day was in full swing and even though it was 8 AM, the beer swilling and hot babe-age lent itself to the feel of an early afternoon college football tailgate.

Even though the cars haven’t used carburetors since 1963, Carb Day is the final practice session before the race. 150,000-plus people attended this year’s version, an all-time high. Above, six of the hottest babes on site.
