Summertime beers from Samuel Adams

Samuel Adams Rebel IPA

There’s something about a cold beer on a nice summer day. it’s one of the simple pleasures in life, and with summer in full swing hopefully you’ve had plenty of opportunities to enjoy a cold one. There’s plenty of summer left as well, so you have more time to enjoy those cookouts and other outdoor events.

We’ve been sampling a number of beers from Samuel Adams, including the Samuel Adams Summer Ale and the IPAs like the Rebel IPA pictured above. Samuel Adams has tons of beers to choose from including quite a few IPAs. I’m still partial to the Boston Lager, as they’re flagship beer is pretty flawless. As a seasonal the Summer Ale isn’t bad but it’s not my first choice, while the IPAs are excellent. The Rebel IPA features citrus and grapefruit highlights which makes it perfect as a summer beer.

Try them out and see which one you like best.

First Drive: 2015 Hyundai Sonata

Hyundai keeps moving forward. That’s the big takeaway from my drive of the all-new 2015 Hyundai Sonata on a beautiful summer day in Michigan. Hyundai has been on a roll with its bold, fluidic structure design language, and now we’re seeing an evolution as Hyundai introduces a more sophisticated and refined version of that design with the new Sonata.

Exterior

Hyundai refers to the design evolution as its Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language. Everything starts with the new front facia of the Sonata, with cleaner lines and sharper edges. The previous model gained attention by looking trendy while the new Sonata looks more elegant. The new design makes the Sonata one of the more attractive mid-sized sedans on the market and it will likely get more attention from professionals.

Cool Contest: Are you a BACARDÍ untameable fan?

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of BACARDÍ for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

The entire world is glued to their televisions watching that incredible soccer tournament in Brazil, but wouldn't it be cool to actually be in one of the countries participating in the final game? I experienced that as a child back in 1982 when Italy was the winner. I was in Rome at the time on vacation and I experienced first hand the energy that the fans felt before, during and after that final game. I'd love to experience that again, and I'd happily give up my expensive new headphones to do it!

Who will make it to the final game this year? Unfortunately for me, Italy has been eliminated, but the United States and other great countries are still playing. Wouldn't it be incredible to be in a place like Argentina or Costa Rica while their team is playing for the ultimate championship?

Our friends at BACARDÍ are hosting an awesome contest that offers that opportunity to BACARDÍ Untameable Fans, and that can be you!. By visiting BACARDÍ's untamable fan contest site, you can Enter to Win to take a trip to one of the countries whose team is playing in the final match.  Bacardi wants to know what you would be willing to sacrifice in order to win the trip, so all you have to do is Make a Sacrifice and post a photo of the item you're willing to sacrifice (not a selfie of you with the item – just post the item!). Then see what others have been willing to sacrifice in the "sacrifice gallery."

When you check out the “Champion Cocktails” section on the site you'll see that Cuba Libre is the official drink of BACARDÍ Untameable fans, but you can find the recipe of your country’s drink! Keep these in mind when you have your next watch party!

So which country do you want to win, and which one do you want to visit during the game?

5 Classic Cars We Love

Americans have had a love affair with the automobile that has helped to define our culture. This love of cars has also defined many father-son relationships as dads around the country passed on their passions for great cars to their sons.

With Father’s Day approaching we’re looking back at some great cars that have inspired millions of fathers and sons over the years, and how you and your dad can relive some of that passion with the Exotic Car Collection by Enterprise which has an amazing selection of exotic cars available for rent.

Also, make sure to see the end of this post with a special giveaway!

1972 Corvette Stingray Convertible

I had the opportunity to drive this beautiful Corvette last year at an event promoting the brand-new 2014 Corvette Sting Ray. This classic beauty was the sports car everyone wanted when I was a kid, and I would always joke around with my dad that I wanted a Corvette. There have been many classic Corvette designs over the years, but the curvy design of the C3 Corvettes are a common favorite. 1972 was the last year of the chrome bumpers for the Corvette, giving the car a more classic look. The 5.7L V-8 engine didn’t have the high horsepower ratings of previous generations from the 1960s, but this 4-speed Vette still had some serious straight-line acceleration.

As I mentioned in my review, the all-new Corvette Stingray more than carries on the Corvette tradition. The car is beautiful and the performance is amazing. Driving this car is a truly memorable experience and both the coupe and the convertible are available with the Enterprise Exotic Car Collection. If you’re looking for a great gift for dad it’s hard to beat some road time with the new Corvette.

1967 Cadillac Eldorado

My dad always wanted to own a Cadillac, but he cared more about saving for our education so he went with other big cars from GM that were a little less expensive. This 1967 Cadillac Eldorado is a stunning example of the long and powerful American cars of the late 1960s and early 1970s. They were big and beautiful with huge engines and luxurious interiors and many Americans long for that era.

Lovers of big Cadillacs now turn to the huge and luxurious SUVs, and you can get an impressive Cadillac Escalade ESV through the Enterprise Exotic Car Collection, along with large luxury sedans from a wide variety of brands from Mercedes to Lexus.

Great golf and beautiful models at Links and Laces Golf Tour

Links and Laces Golf Tour

What can be better than a golf getaway and a beautiful resort? Add in beautiful models and great parties and you have an unforgettable experience like the Links and Laces Golf Tour.

We were very happy to be on location at the Fantasy Springs golf resort for the Links and Laces event recently. We knew we were in for a great weekend right away at the kickoff party, with tons of beautiful models on hand with the golfers as they geared up for a fun weekend. We put together this slideshow of photos with some highlights from the weekend.

The golf course is beautiful as you can see from the photos, and on a hot day golfers were greeted at every hole by lovely models with refreshments. Sponsors like Sunbuddy Suncreen were on hand to provide their all-natural products to protect everyone from the desert sun. We also met the ladies from Haute Shot Golf who gave the guys some great gift ideas with their brand of rockin’ golf skorts for women.

After the first day of golfing, everyone was able to let loose at the superhero party held by the pool, which was a cosplay bonanza with beautiful models and the golfers dressing up as their favorite superhero. We saw many sexy outfits from the models as you can see from this gallery we posted after the event, and you can also check out the gallery posted on the Links and Laces website.

The pool party and bikini contest the next day was also a blast, as each of the models were able to show off in their favorite bikinis while the music thumped at this afternoon party. It must of been difficult for the judges to pick the ten finalists and the ultimate winner as there were so many great models at this event.
