Tesla Unveils $35,000 Model 3

Did you get in line for your new Tesla? It seems like everyone else did with reports of lines stretching for blocks with people wanting to make sure they reserved one of the Tesla 3 vehicles expected to be available in 2017.

The Tesla Model 3 starts at $35,000, so this is quite a leap forward for a brand that’s been restricted to consumers who could afford expensive luxury vehicles. Now the hot Tesla brand will be available to the masses, so it’s no surprise this announcement generated so much buzz.

You can see from the photos above that Tesla retained its ultra-modern design feel with the Model S, and the vehicle should fit five adults.

While it won’t be as fast as other Tesla models, the electric-powered Model S will still get from 0 to 60 in less than six seconds. It also has a range of over 200 miles between charges.

Product Review: Waxelene Petroleum Jelly Alternative

As a dude, do you know how bad petroleum jelly is for your skin? Of course not, why would you? You’re a dude. I had absolutely no idea, either.

The most egregious of all is that before it’s refined, petroleum jelly includes carcinogenic compounds. What’s a carcinogen? A substance capable of causing cancer in living tissue. Of course, carcinogens don’t cause cancer in every case, but why are we so cavalier about using petroleum jelly if we know the potential exists?

Petroleum jelly was originally created for the purpose of coating the bottom of oil rigs in 1859. You heard right; it was literally made to help streamline vessels traveling in the ocean, not the vessel of your body.

Rather than actually healing your skin, it creates the illusion of moisturized, hydrated skin by creating a barrier and sealing the skin so that moisture cannot leave. So really, it functions as a water-repellent while suffocating your pores.

Waxelene is the anti-petroleum jelly.

“Quantum Break” is a flawed but enjoyable slice of hybrid entertainment

We don’t cover video games on this site as much as we used to, but it’s difficult to ignore a title like “Quantum Break,” which was originally teased during the reveal of the Xbox One back in 2013. That’s because it’s unlike anything you’ve ever played before – a uniquely immersive experience that’s one part video game, one part live-action TV series. But to fully understand how the merging of these two mediums works, you first need to know what the game is about.

Set in a fictional Northeastern town that’s been overtaken by an enigmatic corporation known as Monarch Solutions, the story follows Jack Joyce (Shawn Ashmore), who returns home after years of trying to escape his past when he receives a cryptic message from his friend Paul Serene (Aiden Gillen) asking him to meet at Riverport University. It turns out that Paul has been secretly building a time machine, and with his investors threatening to pull the plug on the project, he needs Jack’s help to prove that it actually works. But when the experiment goes horribly wrong and causes a fracture in time, Jack and Paul are affected in different ways; Jack is granted the ability to manipulate time, while Paul can see into the future.

Forced to go on the run after he’s framed for the incident, Jack must team up with his physicist brother Will (Dominic Monaghan) and a Monarch security officer named Beth Wilder (Courtney Hope) to stop Paul – who has returned from the future a changed man – from exploiting the time fracture for his own personal gain. If that sounds incredibly ambiguous, that’s because saying any more would be wading into major spoiler territory.
