Every year, there’s a surge of interest as movie release dates are published. Suffice it to say, 2017 is no different, and once again, an array of talent appears to be on offer over the subsequent months.

Already, we’ve seen the likes of “Beauty and the Beast” and “The Fate of the Furious” rock cinemas, but new releases are on the horizon.

Here’s a look at some of the hottest new film releases to watch for the remainder of the year.

“Star Wars: The Last Jedi”

It might be penciled in for a release date late this year (it will arrive just in time for Christmas), but that doesn’t mean that the excitement among “Star Wars” fans hasn’t already started.

This time, Rian Johnson is in the director’s chair, and considering some of his work includes “Brick” and “Looper,” there’ss plenty of anticipation ahead of this next installment. He’s got a big job on his hands following “The Force Awakens,” but “Star Wars” rarely disappoints.

“Justice League”

Every year seems to bring several new superhero movies, and naturally, 2017 isn’t any different. This time around, Warner Bros. and DC are bringing “Justice League” to our screens, which is long overdue if you were to question the opinion of some fans.

Similarly to “Star Wars,” there’s something of a wait since it won’t be until mid-November when “Justice League” hits the screens, but following recent DC efforts, we’re confident it will be another that doesn’t disappoint.

“Spider-Man: Homecoming”

We’ve just spoken about superheroes, so it stands to reason that “Spider-Man” is next on our list. Marvel Studios is taking over the property and will be something of a blast from the past, with “Homecoming” focusing on Peter Parker’s high school days. Tom Holland is the man in the red suit, while fans are excited to see Robert Downey Jr. once again as Tony Stark.

In comparison to some of the movies we’re looking at, you don’t have to wait too long to see the new Spider-Man film, though. Everything appears to be in place, with the release date set for July 7th.

“Thor: Ragnarok”

There’s no doubt that “The Avengers” made him something of a hit, and fans are eager to see how Thor will cope in his latest solo adventure, which sees him return to Asgard. Perhaps one of the most exciting elements of this film is Chris Hemsworth as the title character, who has really made it his own. And while we’re on the subject of actors, let’s also give a mention to Mark Ruffalo as Hulk. Suffice it to say, it’s an A-list cast. Unfortunately, you’ll once again have to wait several months before you get to see it. It’s another November release date, this time on the 3rd of the month.
