ARTISTIX designer and founder Greg Polisseni created a splash recently with his first ever New York Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week show highlighting his designs and his art. You can see some of his designs in the slideshow above and the video below from the show. The designs from this lifestyle brand for men and women are original but also casual and accessible. The ARTISTIX line was featured in a Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week showing at Studio Arte on September 8th. The show highlighted the clothing based on Greg’s paintings “November Rain”, “Stars and Stripes”, and “Fearless”. We love the jean shorts on the ladies and the designs for men should get you motivated to update your fall wardrobe.
Greg Polisseni describes the inspiration for his line: “Self-discovery is a gift that should never be wasted, I found mine. I am an artist in its purist form. I live it and love it. All the fashion I create is inspired by the art I make. When you merge art with fashion what come is pure passion.”
The show was set to classic rock tunes like Nirvana’s Teen Spirit and Guns ‘n Roses’ Paradise City. One highlight from the show was German Supermodel Hana Nitsche “wearing” a truly original ARTISTIX design actually painted on her just hours before the show by Polisseni himself.
“Everywhere I look I see canvases, the human body is a canvas for my fashion,” said Polisseni. “What better way to merge fashion and art then by painting my design on the lead model. Look for the top based on that painting soon.”
The hair team was sponsored by premier hair tools brand, One Styling, and lead by Master Stylist Joseph DiMaggio created a slicked back hair look with a rock feel using products from the One Styling line. The Make-up team lead by celebrity make-up artist Moni Pradier and sponsored by Vessie Goldsmith created an edgy look for the models with dark eyes and sharp cheekbones. The ARTISTIX Spring/Summer 2015 show was produced by Deshawn Colbert of Deshawn D Management. Additional sponsors for the show were, Doppio Restaurants, OCOO Beauty Drink, Llanllyr Source Water and Punzoné Vodka.
