January Jones

Betty Draper (now Betty Francis) is one of the more annoying characters on television, but January Jones always looked stunning dolled up in that 1950s hairdo and those stylish 50s clothes. Yet in recent seasons of “Mad Men” we were shocked and disappointed as angry Betty began to eat away all her worries as she ballooned into a plump housewife. In many ways she became a nicer character but now she wasn’t much to look at. We’re not sure what CGI or makeup tricks were used to make Jones look like that, but we were thrilled when the writers decided to bring skinny Betty back. And she came back in style, hooking up with Don for a quick tryst and prancing around is some cute shorts.

Kate Mara

With the political thriller “House of Cards” Netflix has established itself as a force in the world of original TV programming and made our list as the 6th best show on television. The show boasted an all-star cast with Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright leading the way. Kate Mara was cast as Zoe Barnes, the ambitious journalist who would use her affair with powerful Congressman Francis Underwood to advance her career. Mara was more than up to the task, as she created a bold, no-nonsense character that wasn’t shy about using her “girl next door” looks to her advantage with older men. Lauren Cohan

Sure, she’s battling zombies and saving lives in “The Walking Dead,” our third-rated TV show, but Lauren Cohan still manages to look hot. As Maggie Greene, Lauren has that “girl next door” look that all guys love, making this intense show a little more fun to watch. You can follow her on Twitter here.

Shiri Appleby

With Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke and Zosia Mamet. “Girls” has its share of attractive actresses to grab our attention. But Shiri Appleby was the sexiest actress on this HBO show this past season as she played the role of Adam’s new girlfriend Natalia. The show slipped in its second season but Appleby was one of the bright spots, and her bizarre sex scenes with Adam led to plenty of controversy around the web. But she played the part perfectly and any normal guy would be thrilled to rescue her from crazy Adam. You can follow Shiri on Twitter here.

Jurnee Smollett-Bell

“True Blood” may have gone downhill over the years, but it still features a parade of beautiful women season after season, including Lizzy Caplan in Season 1. We still have hotties like Anna Paquin and Deborah Ann Woll as regulars, and last season the stunning Jessica Clark appeared as Lilith in an epic nude scene. This year Jurnee Smollett-Bell caught our attention as Sam’s new love interest, and many of you will recognize her from “Friday Night Lights.” With her long, curly black hair and sexy body that she showed off a little in a shower scene, she gave us another guilty pleasure on a show that has little else to offer these days.
