If it Sounds too Good to be True…
Numerous travel clubs work scams to get travelers to pay money, while giving little in return. A travel club is driven by membership fees, and gives people the benefit of finding out about discounts and travel bundles. Sometimes travel clubs will offer travelers the world. These travelers later find out that though they pay their fees, the travel club doesn’t hold up their end of the bargain. One would be hard pressed to find a Vacation Choices complaint, since they happen to be one of the more reputable travel clubs. Don’t give your money to any company that can’t boast the same.
They’re Coming for Your Money Before and During the Trip
Before the trip, you must worry about companies booking you bogus or overpriced vacations. During the trip, you’ll need to keep your credit card close, because the sharks are still out to get you. Some scams will be subtle, such as overpriced timeshares or people selling you non-existent or irrelevant services or items. Other tactics are flat out illegal, such as companies purposely overcharging you or charging you for things you didn’t buy. Keep phone contact to a minimum unless using a phone card, because some calls placed from hotels with a credit card have been known to get inflated.
Always be on the Lookout
While you should definitely relax and enjoy your trip and the planning process, always use common sense. Conduct business with the assumption that you don’t trust anyone without verification. Since you’ll find few Vacation Choices complaint records, this is an example of a trustworthy company. Only do business with proven companies and don’t be quick to part with your money. Do your homework and you’ll thank yourself later when you’re able to enjoy your vacation in comfort.
