Regardless of your wardrobe needs, we’ve reached the mid-point of the summer season, and this is a great time to head out (or boot up) to look for deals on clothes. You’ll find sales everywhere, regardless of whether you’re a college kid looking for casual styles or a professional looking for suits and other business attire. If you hit the malls you’ll see sales everywhere, but of course that applies online as well. One of the fastest growing segments of online sales includes men’s wear, particularly in the luxury segment as retailers target men with disposable income. They’re used to buying online so this is a natural progression.
As usual, you need to do your research if you’re looking for deals, but pay attention to quality as well. Don’t just look for the cheapest items. If you’re looking for urban styles try these coupon codes for Drjays.com. If you look at the Drjays.com website you’ll see tons of great styles that will fit in on casual weekends or on college campuses.
If you’re looking for suits you have tons of options. Of course you can go with the big-name brands, but you can save a ton of money if you also consider other options. For example, Men’s Wearhouse has its annual suit drive. They’re looking for “gently used” professional attire like suits, shirts, pants, skirts, sports coats, dress shoes, and ties. So you can’t unload a dingy old suit, but you can bring in a suit with wider collars that’s now a little out of style, unless of course you work in a law firm or on Wall Street, where old-school suits never really go out of style. You get a coupon for 50 percent off if you donate so it’s a great deal and the stuff you donate goes to charity. Check out this store as you can get suits that track the newer, slimmer styles. If the suit fits well, few people where look for the brand label!
We’re always looking for great T-Shirts, so we were very happy to receive some samples from WornFree.com. Their shirts inspired my music greats like Bob Marley and Joe Strummer and the designs are some of the best we’ve seen.
The Bob Marley classic from above was included with the samples sent to use. Apart from the cool design, the first thing we noticed was the super-soft, pre-washed and shrunk all cotton feel of the shirts. The comfort and fit were excellent so we were very happy with the product.
Browse through the selections of t-shirts, hoodies and sweats and it’s like browsing through the classic rock section of your music collection, with designs inspired by John Lennon, Joey Ramone, Iggy Pop and so many more.
The collection is so cool that we added it to our Father’s Day Gift Guide for the dad with excellent taste in music and t-shirt design!
We’re big fans of Lugz shoes, like the canvas shoes we reviewed last year. So we were happy to try out the new Changover Perf style that comes in white with black trim. The shoes have the look and feel of sneakers with super-soft leather and subtle but distinctive styling. The perforated leather on the sides with the four side-stripes give the shoes a high-end look. The shoes are super-comfortable with a padded tongue & collar and cushioned insole, and the soles are thick with traction grooves cutting across the sole for a jagged look.
These won’t replace your cross-training sneakers but you’ll be hard-pressed to find a more comfortable shoe for walking, making them a great option for everyday use. They’re great for the summer as they fit well with a wide variety of shorts or jeans. With Father’s Day coming up, the new Changeover Perf can make a great gift for dad.
With summer here it’s a great time to stock on on new athletic gear, and the new Double-Dry T-shirts and Shorts from Champion offer a great option. They’re incredibly comfortable and they look great. The moisture-wicking, built-in systems keeps you cool and dry and the soft, ultra-light fabric feels as good as it looks with a silky smooth interior and a mesh textured exterior.
The Men’s Champion’s Double-Dry T-shirt features sleek ergonomic seams provide a more streamlined fit. They’re triple-stitched for strength and flat-locked for non-chafe softness. We were impressed with this feature in particular as the shirts are much more comfortable than previous Double-Dry versions. They’re just as comfortable as a premium cotton shirt. The tag-free fabric-taped neck also keeps its shape, wash after wash, and the easy raglan sleeves allow flexible range of motion.
The shorts feature mesh side panels provide ventilation for added cooling power and the sleek ergonomic seams and Four-needle elastic waist ensure maximum ease of movement. You can follow Champion of Facebook for more information on their products.
This line is engineered to make you comfortable while working out, but you’ll also look great as well. With Father’s Day coming up these would also make a great gift for the dad who still likes to get out there and play some hoops or work out, or for the dad who needs a subtle hint!

There is a certain inevitability that we as men must all face in our lives, and that is that, as much as most guys hate to shop, occasionally we have to buy new dress clothes.
Since it’s time to buy a new shirt anyway, why not do it from the comfort of your own computer chair and design a shirt that you like without anyone hassling you, and at an affordable price? www.ShirtsMyWay.com makes custom dress shirts that fit really well. Many men have the problem that normal shirts just don’t fit well in certain areas and custom shirts are the solution.
Do you even know how much a custom dress shirt typically costs? At your local tailor, you can bet it will be at least $200. Even if you attempt to purchase one online, you’re not going to spend less than $135, perhaps even more when you factor in shipping and handling. That is, unless you check out www.ShirtsMyWay.com.
I went to the site and created my own shirt. Even as a child of the internet age, at first, I was somewhat daunted. “How long will this take? What are the odds I screw this up?” These thoughts and more careened through my brain, like a pinball in an empty auditorium. But once I got started, it was easy — the entire process took less than five minutes, perhaps more if you don’t have your measurements handy? Don’t know your measurements? Go to the men’s department of any reputable clothing store in your area and they should measure you for free.
The site is straight forward and easy to navigate thanks to the “point and click” setup. First, I picked the color of my dress shirt (Atlantis L. Purple). From there, the customizing options were seemingly endless; you can customize everything from sleeve length (long), type of collar (classic), cuffs (1 button angle) to yoke (plain) and even the placket (seamless). One really cool feature is that you can actually combine different fabrics for your design, which is something I have never seen anywhere else.
With my custom shirt now completed, I proceeded to check out and see what kind of financial damage I had incurred. Even with a custom color, my total was just $85 dollars. And since www.ShirtsMyWay.com has free shipping and handling (if you choose Standard Delivery; $10 for Express), there were no additional hidden fees. There are also no extra charges for any extra options.
New to the idea of a custom dress shirt and curious to exactly what that entails? You can download the free Book of Dress Shirts for more inspiration and tips on designing your dress shirts. Check out the site and read more background info on the company here: http://www.shirtsmyway.com/about.php

It’s summertime, so you’re going to need some casual shoes to go with shorts or slacks that you can comfortably wear without socks. Flip flops are great in the summer but you can’t wear them everywhere, and the leather sandals just aren’t in style any more. We tried several new styles from Crevo including the Boone Dock shoes pictured above, and both were incredibly comfortable and looked great.
The Boone Docks have a unique feel with the fleece lining. It’s a little warm sometimes but the comfort level is fantastic. The shoes feature a cow suede upper, padded collar for extra comfort and fit and a cushioned EVA footbed, along with a lightweight and flexible non-slip rubber outsole. I love the look of this pair and they dress up your look while keeping it casual.
I tried out the Crevo Nepal in black and also loved this super-casual shoe. It’s super light and comfortable and great for everyday use when it’s warm. Slipping this pair on and off is super easy. They also look great with the white bottom sole that is becoming popular with casual shoes so they’ll definitely upgrade your style over your sneakers. The garment-dyed twill provides a well-worn and washed-out style and the shoes are ultra light.
You don’t need to toss your sneakers and sandals, but you can update your summer look considerably with the new Crevo styles. Check out the website for more selections, and keep them in mind as a gift idea with Father’s Day coming up soon.
There are so many sneaker styles out there, but we’re always on the lookout for truly unique designs. Recon is a new, under-the-radar brand, and they sent us a sample of their new line of sneakers which come in three color styles. The Recon line is described as a “new category of covert footwear for the true, ever-changing athlete” and you can see that they’ve come up with an innovative and distinctive design.
Recon marries traditional styling, strong colors and functional athletic design for a versatile sneaker you can wear on the court and out on the town. They’re very comfortable, and better yet, the sneakers are very affordable as well. Check them out online along with Recon’s equally stylish t-shirts at ReconBrand.com, or you can find them exclusively at FinishLine stores nationwide. FinishLine operates more than 660 stores in 47 states, connecting to young, fashion-conscious individuals through a premium brand experience featuring the best selection of authentic, sport inspired products.
Celebrities like Jay Z, Sean Combs, Kellan Lutz and Jerry Ferrara have already nabbed a pair of the initial introductory styles of the Global Hi-Artist Series. The three unique styles were created in collaboration with renowned graffiti artists Stash, Wane and Futura.
If you’re looking for something new, you should definitely check these out. Also, with Father’s Day around the corner, you should consider these sneakers for the fashion-conscious dad.
We tested out some new undershirts from RibbedTee and were very impressed. The shirts are super-soft and are cut differently from tradition undershirts. They’re more snug and form-fitting, and they’re cut longer so that they won’t slip out when tucked into your pants. We found this to be much more comfortable. Also, if you’ve been working on your physique and want to show it off, your girlfriend will love how you look in a RibbedTee undershirt, and you can wear it in certain settings without a shirt pulled over and you’ll look great!
But for most situations, you’ll be using this product as a an undershirt so most guys will be more than satisfied regardless of their current fitness situation. We tested both the ribbed version and the traditional version. The streamlined fit also leaves no bunching around the waistline or arms. The shirts are also designed to keep their shape after repeated washing with the collars laying flat in place without sagging.
With Father’s Day around the corner, the RibbedTee undershirts make a great gift as well.
In life, it’s easier to do something if you’re clear about the reason you are doing it. Right now you are finding out about the pastel clothing trend because wearing it will make you cool. You will be in style, up-to-date and on-trend. But all this might be pretty meaningless until you look at it this way; wearing clothes that show you know what’s what in the style stakes might make you a hit with women, and other men might respect you. Sorry, even more of a hit with the ladies, and even more respected. Of course.
First off, let’s get one thing straight. No one is asking you to get in touch with your feminine side, so just calm down. You may not believe it but you can wear pastel colours in a masculine way, and you’re about to find out how.
Many of the latest trends for men mix up traditional style categories: take the printed shirts that combine a masculine cut with floral patterns, or the male re-imagining of the classic woman’s staple piece, the belted mac, as seen in Louis Vuitton’s A/W 2012-2013 collection. New styles, such as the polo shirts available from High and Mighty men’s clothing retailers now combine sporty, masculine shapes with easy-to-wear, flattering pastel shades.
These two terms are key. To get the most wear out of an item of clothing you want it to go with as many different pieces from your wardrobe as possible – ie, be easy to wear. While a bright orange suit jacket may make you stand out in a crowd, you’ll pretty much have to dress all in black to balance it out. Pastel colours can go together without looking clashy, or can be worn with whites, blacks, denims, or even with a splash of bright colour if you’re the type who likes to be one step ahead of the game.
Unlike that aforementioned bright orange suit jacket, pastel clothing are flattering so won’t leave you looking washed out. While you want to look on-trend, you don’t want the trend to be wearing you! Pastel yellows can play up a tan, making you look healthier, while light pinks can add warmth to a paler complexion. If you wouldn’t know your complexion from your elbow, just try out a few colours and you’ll see straight away which ones bring out the colour of your eyes/make you look younger/play down those dodgy grey strands in your beard.
If you’re not feeling ready to jump straight in to the peachy-toned sweaters, how about starting yourself off with a powder blue shirt or blazer? That way, if you’re out with the guys you’re simply wearing a light denim-style shirt, what of it? But if there are ladies present: “Yeah, I am rocking the latest pastel trend, thanks for noticing.”
