Every time Team Penske driver Brad Keselowski wins a race, you can feel people (and hear them, depending on where you’re standing at the track) groan.

But why?

Sure, I’m the guy wearing the #2 hat in the above picture, cheering my ass off in Victory Lane with a forward-facing Miller Lite in my hand after Brad’s come-from-behind win in Atlanta, so I’m not as partial as some.

But perhaps I’m even more judgmental considering I’ve hitched my fanboy man-wagon to the BK express since becoming a NASCAR fan three years ago.

It was refreshing and fun to interact with BK and confirm that the reasons I liked him as a driver were the same reasons I liked him upon meeting him. So why does everyone hate Brad Keselowski?

In person, he’s smart, funny and will give it right back to you. You feel like you’re talking to a real person who is not just listening to you long enough for you to shut up so they can talk. On the track, he’s aggressive, calculating and steadfast — and one of the best drivers in the sport.

Aside from all that, his story about getting a “ride” with Dale Jr. in 2007 when he had no other opportunities is the stuff of legend, going from having no future in the sport to driving for NASCAR’s most popular driver for 14 consecutive season in the span of one phone call.

Imagine that. What would you do? You can’t even get your damn TPS Report right.

Then, imagine when it came time to perform you show that the phone call, optimism and opportunity were not in vain; you answer the call and kick some ass. Five years later, he was the 2012 Sprint Cup Series champion and proved that Dale Jr. was spot on.

Whether or not you like the #2 car is up to you. But one thing everyone likes is expert advice when deciding to buy a new car.

The expert editors at Autotrader recently announced the winners of the 2017 Must Test Drive Awards, featuring the best new cars worth taking for a brutal test drive, like the way most people treat a Penske rental truck at least once in their lives, before shoppers make their final purchase decision.
