Nissan unveils new 2017 GT-R

One of our favorite sports cars has been updated as Nissan unveiled the new 2017 GT-R at the New York International Auto Show today. Nissan’s supercar sports new features inside and out, with the addition of Nissan’s new “V-motion” front grille being the most notable change as the GT-R gets an update to Nissan’s latest design language. The V-motion grille has been a nice improvement to Nissan’s lineup, and it looks great on the GT-R as it has been enlarged for better engine cooling.

Other exterior changes include pronounced character lines flowing over the hood for stability during driving. The side sills have been pushed out to improve air flow around the vehicle, while the freshly designed front spoiler lip and bumpers generate high levels of front downforce.

The interior features a simplified center dashboard layout along with shift paddles mounted to the new steering wheel that allows drivers to change gears in mid-turn more simply.

The GT-R is a blast to drive, and now it comes with even more power. Each GT-R’s engine is handcrafted by its own Takumi technician and delivers 565 horsepower at 6800 rpm and 467 lb-ft of torque, an increase of 20 horsepower and 4 lb-ft from last year’s model.

The new GT-R is available this summer and we can’t wait to drive it!
