The Mazda 3 will undoubtedly have better composure on the road given that companies otherworldly ability to produce real driver’s cars in the c-segment. It will also undoubtedly house a naturally aspirated Skyactiv engine, probably the 155hp currently found in the 2012 model. And I would bet my house that it will be gorgeous car that is even more beautiful to drive.

And yet, this Kia is just so sexy. I currently own a 2011 Forte SX, and it’s been a terrific car. Sure the ride is rough, interior quality is sub part given the current competition (I’m looking at you, Ford Focus), but I still love my Kia. Reliability has been rock solid and it’s fun to toss around. Don’t believe the car critics that bash the current Forte; it’s an excellent car and the shortcomings are easily overlooked given the price. (A similarly equipped Focus costs 7 grand more.)

So … I just may have to go with this 2014 model Kia when the time comes.

Any thoughts? New Mazda 3 hatch, or new Forte hatch? Or should I get a Focus? So many great cars to choose from!!!
