Bettis says Cowher heading to Giants

In an interview with Anthony Stalter from The Scores Report, former Steelers’ running back Jerome Bettis said that Bill Cowher will likely wind up as the next head coach of the New York Giants.

TSR: Where do you think your old head coach Bill Cowher will wind up?

Jerome Bettis: He’s going to wind up in New York at some point. I think he’s holding out hope that he’ll be able to coach the Giants – that’s what I believe. It’s not going to happen this year, but I think if they fall on their faces again next year that it’ll open the door for Cowher to become the next head coach of the New York Giants.

If the Giants had a defense they would be in the playoff’s right now. Maybe a coach like Cowher would make sense. How about Bettis joining the staff?
